Brake bleeding BMW 316 Compact - Steveo4869
What is the best way to bleed brakes on a 1997 BMW 316 compact? I ask because I have heard rumors that you have to be careful using one of those ezibleed one man systems on ABS systems if at all. I have one but have never used it or would it be better to avoid using this and get someone to pump the pedal while I bleed the system? Any advise much appriciated.

I believe the concern is about 'stagnant' brake fluid in the ABS module/pump. Dealers are supposed to cycle the valves and run the pump during fluid changes (though I have never seen them bother!)
I doubt there would be a problem doing it the conventional way, jsut make sure you use the ABS (esp. easy on snow or wet grass) a few times a year to keep it in shape.
