I have a 97 mondeo 1.8 TD (face-lift). I know a little about cars (doing my own service, tinkering around with the engine etc).
Is changing a starter motor an easy thing to do?
If so can some give me a quick step by step guide how to do it.
(Or send me a more detailed description to... linskeydvd@aol.com)
Many thanks.

if you do "tinkering around" you should no its straight forward. otherwise a haynes manual will help!

follow the biggest red lead from your battery, the first place it goes to is the starter motor. Once you can see it then it's up to you how easy/difficult access is but in general just ondo the two or three bolts (having disconnected the battery first), withdraw it and undo the cable(s) Fitting is the same but in reverse.
