VW type 25 fuel?? problem - Didis
Hi, i wonder whether anyone can help? I usually only play with VW air cooled engines , but got roped into swapping a diesel watercooled for a friend. The engine is in, it starts and ticks over, but the moment I move the throttle cable it dies. Any idea's would be much appreciated. Thanks.

I presume you mean when you increase the revs?, if so it could be:
timing out of sync( but would normally not start)- has this been meddled with?
inj pump problem -not delivering sufficient fuel-again do not meddle with normally.
nothing sily is it, like air locks(bubbles in fuel pipe), or leaking injectors or badly fitting leak-off pipes?
There's some ideas for now
