Has anyone had dealings with this internet based supplier, the policy is underwritten by Allianz Cornhill.
I just seem to be talking to a brick wall when contacting them, I hopefully have had a response that may be favourable but the previous letter from them was to cancel my policy.
I received a letter saying I had not signed the proposal form, I didnt sign it because I signed up on the internet, a cover note was duly dispatched with this policy. This letter prompted me to ring the office, they said it was a legal requirement to sign the form. Which form, I asked?
"The proposal form" but I havent had one, I signed up on the internet booking form.
Today I opened a letter telling me that as I had not contacted them my policy was cancelled.
I rang the office again and was told not to worry!

Actually, it's easier than that.
Talk directly to Allianze Cornhill, they are a different insurance company than Cornhill BTW.
AC are the actual underwiters, Budget are just a go between.
After losing confidence in my commercial vehicle broker recently I went straight to the underwriter to sort a temporary change of vehicle. They did it with no fuss and no cost to me whatsoever, whereas the broker would have charged me an admin fee.
If the underwriters tell you your insurance is in place (preferably in writing) then you need have no concerns. You may however have to write to the underwriters to confirm they are able to deal with you direct. Copy such a letter to the brokers out of courtesy>>

Normally when signing up on the internet, you get a printed proposal form that comes with the covernote or certificate that you have to sign and return. I've always had to do this with all the different insurers over the years.

I'm with them for home insurance. Not very organised as several times have manged to screw up DD and had to request another one. Also use the 0800 number to contact rather than their 0870 rip off one.
