You need to look very carefully at the hoses that run across the front crossmember and the compressor hub. Failing that, go to someone that has a very good sniffer, not the usual £99 special, and have them check out the evaporator, as well as everything else. 3 weeks is quite a large leak, but dye doesn't always show up, as it relies on oil leaking out with the gas in order to show.

I am suprised that a leak does not show when loosing gas this quickly, has it been pressure tested?
I have found the condensor to be the cause of most leaks on Vectras, location makes it vulnerable.
I agree a good quality sniffer will find even the smallest leaks if used properly.

Compressor front seal is very common.

£250 sounds a bit cheap for a new compressor, fitting and a recharge. Where's the compresor coming from, as they're normally about £250 just for the part. Takes about an hour I think.
