Am I (a mate) entitled to a refund? - Altea Ego
The lap top should be in warranty so get the cd fixed. General slowness? The shop will reload it back to what it was when bought, so it will be quicker but minus all his stuff.

Router? could be anything, bad line? bad cards? does it need a firmware update?


Full Refund? after nearly a year? go whistle.

RF,

thanks for that. I thought as much but I said I'd try. It's not as bad now. He took the router back after reading reports on the net about how bad other people said they were and exchanged it for a Netgear one. The Internet is now working perfectly. I've offered to wipe the laptop to get rid of all the rubbish and make it quick again which I suspect will make the CD-Rewriter work again.

Dave, I thought about the Computer Related Questions Thread but it's nothing technical about computers. It was the more general idea of refunds. Once RF has read it, you can delete it if you want.
