I have been offered a 4 month old focus 1.6 zetec climate in moondust silver for £9400 this is an 05 car on a 54 plate with about 3k on it.My question is is this an ok deal and is an 05 54 plate worth more than an 04 54 plate.Your help would be greatly appreciated as I have researched this on the web but just ended up more confused than when I started. Many thanks in advance.

sorry guys should have stated that this is from a franchised dealer and an mk1 focus

Have a look at www.trade-sales.co.uk, I bought a 53 reg Focus off them nearly a year ago and am well pleased with it still.

Their web-site shows what they are selling old-shape 'foci' for, but from what I can see you seem to have an okay deal there anyway.

It's about £1000 overpriced. You shouldn't have any problem finding 1.6 Zetec on 54 plate with less than 10k on the clock for £8000-8500
