compressor help? - telecaster
For a while now i have been chewing on getting a small compressor for home use.

I plan to use it for mainly the car but also maybe spraying the garden shed , fence etc.

What should i look for IE makes? ..size etc...i was thinking maybe something in the 2 to 3 hundred range.(pounds)

Also is there much maintenance involved in looking after one?
Cheers!

I bought a small one for £70 and have found it immensely useful for spraying and powering a nut runner and air hammer. The bigger the tank the better but, unless you are going to keep it stationary in a garage, you will need to balance size with portability.Air displacement is also important. If your spraygun takes more air than the compressor puts out you will be waiting for the tank to fill up again on large panels.Machine Mart do a good range starting at £82:19.Buy a decent airline, the cheap coily things that come with them air a pain.I also bought a filter/water trap, essential for spraying to prevent water getting into the airline.Maintainence is simple, check oil level(unless it is oiless)clean the airfilter and drain water from the reciever(tank).
