I have a set of wheel trims from a long forgotten Peugeot. They are brand-new and want to auction them. They measure 14", when describing the size on a site does one use this measurement or the actual diameter of the wheel ? - I feel a fool for asking really.

The wheel diameter is more helpful to a buyer.

How much difference should there be? Surely no more than 1/4" or are these centre caps or something?

David,
You've confirmed what I thought, they seem to belong to a 14" wheeled 106. My that's small.
Thanks

Not had trims on your cars for a while PU?
14" is actually quite big for a 106 - I looked over an Escort with 13" wheels the other day and it wasn't even 10 years old.

i can show you a 106 with 18" alloys on it - now that is big!

It was a company car that SWMBO had, like any self respecting petrol head she got a set of alloys put on and kept the steels (which now feature on a local's trailer)- the trims have been in what is refered to (laughingly) as the garage. She threatned project BMW today.....so they have to go.
