Vectra on the drive - midlifecrisis
Finally picked up my 54 plate 2.2 Sri today. Very sad to wave the ZT goodbye as it disappeared up the road. The 19" alloys aren't as bad as I expected, I suppose the sports suspension and 18" wheels on the ZT prepared me.
The stereo is great, sat nav pretty good but the leather seats aren't a patch on the ZT. Most of all, I miss the noise and torque of the V6. Overall I'm happy with it and I actually think it's nicer to drive than my work 3.2. Doesn't bother me that it's got a Vauxhall badge. And I'm determined to keep it longer than my usual two years.......cough!!

Wait 'till it gets dark, turn on lights and checkout the little yellow light under windscreen mirror and what it lights up..

Cool!

Imagos, for those of us that don't have a Vectra ... spill the beans??

First time I saw the little yellow light was on the back of my hand as I went for the auto selector. Made me pull my hand back in fright until I realised what it was, where it was coming from, and what it was for.

Spill the beans you guys... what is it?

Not knowing whether this is right but it probably imitates what BMW
do in their cars. Two focussed beams of (red) lighs shine on the centre console, presumably to illuminate that area, looks strange when you go for the gears in the dark. Lotus pioneered it in the Europa whereby a diffused beam from the roll bar (behind the driver's head) subtly lit the dash aicraft style. (Probably in reality a cheap solution to having to illuminate switches from behind which would probably break sraight away,it being a Lotus)

That's the spirit. As previously said, be proud of the Griffen.
