Have an Alfa 147 2.0 Selespeed, it's started to do what I'd describe as a misfire (Alfa call it a hesitation..) on acceleration from low revs.
It's been to my main dealer for 2 weeks and they are at a loss as to the cause. Technicians from Alfa UK have also 'allegedly' been to look at it and are similarly baffled. It only occurs when the engine is cold and when accelerating..when the engine starts from cold the revs die down and then come back up again.
Any ideas? Anyone else had this?
Have had the coils replaced as they were showing as errors on the car's computer apparently, but this didn't resolve..

Could it possibly be the MAF? (mass air flow sensor). Ive heard of people unplugging it and the engine runs better! (its situated in the air filter) For more info try www.alfaowner.com
