Vectra 2.2sri - midlifecrisis
Predictably my buyer has got cold feet concerning buying my ZT, so getting my new car from an internet broker is a non-starter now.
I saw a vectra at a dealer last night (vauxhall specialist). Its a sep 04 (54) Vectra 2.2 direct Sri. 10,000m, sat nav, leather seats, 19" alloys (!!). £12995
What do you think of this price considering the extras. I drive the 3.2s every day at work and think they're generally ok. I have never monitored the values so I'm not sure if this is expensive or not.

Do the Vectras you drive at work have the same seats as the SRi? I ask because I had one for a hire car and after the 2 hour run from Edinburgh to Aberdeen I had a very numb bum... I guess this could be put down to it being a brand new car and perhaps the seats get better with a bit of wear... but it was certianly enough to put me off buying one. I was very glad to fly home and get into my 98R vectra.

Wouldnt you get bored, all day in the company Vectra and one for home use as well?

I sit in them for twelve hours (I do get out of the car now and again) and find them ok. This ones got a full leather interior. Just don't know if its overpriced or not.

I seem to remeber HJ saying that the 19" alloys looked ´bling´ but destroyed the ride quality. As motorway comfort seems to be one of the strongest arguments for buying a Vectra, maybe it would be worth seeing if the dealer could swap them for 16 or 17"ers. Er, would that be ´deblinging´?
