Ford fiesta Breaking- Need advice - volvos60T5SE
My grandmother's 1993 (mk3) fiesta 1.0 has recently blown up. The camshaft has shattered and blown up the majority of the engine. She cannot find a scrap yard to take it off her hands. What do you think about me breaking the car and selling individual parts on Ebay etc....

Any help would be appreciated, Dan

You'll likely get a few pounds for any clean useable parts. The bodywork might prove hard to shift though.

No reason why you shouldn't do it, since scrappies stopped paying for cars it's the only way you can make some money from a scrap car.

Only catch is you need somewhere to keep/break it. And you'll have no idea at all how long it (or parts of it) will be sitting there.

Phone your local council. A little while ago ours was offering to get rid of unwanted cars free of charge rather than people leave 'em littering the streets waiting for them to get vandalised, etc.

The amount of them around at scrap yards.plus the time involved and mess in doing so.I would go as DD suggested. less hassle and car will be gone in one go.. rather than parts hanging around for months on end. Waiting for a buyer you may never find.It can be a pain selling parts!
