Alarm Issue - scorpion 916 on my Golf - Editor
Hi All

I've a car alarm problem. I've a scorpion 916 fitted to my 1995 Golf Mk3 cabrio. The other day I drove it for a few miles, & when I came to restart it-nothing. AA diagnosed faulty starter. So we bumped it home & I took off the battery to fully recharge over the weekend. However, after putting it back in this morning the alarm system won't respond to the key fob remote control. Continuously on. I've replaced the battery in the key fob today, still no response. Scorpion's distributor's say 'it's lost it's memory & needs recoding-neccessitating removal of alarm & sending to them key blipper £23. Really?? Any ideas how to reset/restablish comms? They say that there isn't a powerup procedure. Really?? It's also occurred to me that this non-starting issue might well be linked to an alarm problem too. Funny it worked fine 1 minute & totally dead the next.
