Firstly, I've no connection with Volvo, but thought I should publicise their Freedom test drive event because it was very quiet there today - I had a great time driving various Volvo's around Hampshire.
They allow you to take your selection (pre book 2, but if available, others on the day) away for 30 mins which means you get a great chance to really give the cars a proper test drive.
It was so quite, we got to have 4 drives. I was really blown away by the V70 D5 Auto, so its definetly on my short list.
There are 5 venues around the country and there are various dates until Feb. If anyone is interested the link is here:

Seconded.
I attended the Volvo Freedom day at The Belfry 2 weeks ago and spent a very enjoyable afternoon driving some highgly desirable metal (XC90, V70T5, S60R)around Warwickshire.
You can drive as many cars as you want, there are no pushy salesmen and, because it was also very quiet on the day i went, there is no waiting around.

Having checked the link, it would appear that Volvo don't want to sell cars in Scotland...
