I have been offered a 2003 03 plate Clio 172 Cup for £9000.
Car is from a main dealer and has 30000 miles - mainly motorway.
Full service history and appearance is well cared for - just lots of stone chips on front bumper.
Inside is immaculate except for minor seat wear.
Any comments? Specific problems? etc?
ANY advice appreciated to help me make a decision!

There's a good few people with MINIs who've swapped them for Cup 172s and they seem to love them.
Apologies for perhaps stating the obvious, but is there anything in the car by car breakdown (left).

Can't be too bad then if MINIs are being traded in for them!
Did have a brief look in the breakdown section but doesn't say much.
Just after any real world experiences if possible.
I know this particular car is fairly high mileage for its age.

You can buy a new Clio 182 for under 12K - see best deals on this site.
Less than 3k savings for a 18+ month old superceded model with 30,000 miles is not a great deal IMO.

I was about to say go for it. My mate just bought a 51 plate 172 and boy does it fly - really.
However, given what Cardew said, why not get a new 182 given the price difference?
