All,
Have just got an 02 Mondeo 1.8LX petrol manual hatch, 15,000 miles.
The clutch starts to bite, very gently, at about half way up the pedal travel. By around 3/4 of the way up it starts to bite hard and then is fully engaged (no slip) by around 7/8 of the way up.
This is a bit higher on the pedal than I was used to on my previous car (Toyota). I know the clutch is auto adjusting so I guess it's up to the auto adjuster exactly where in the travel the bite occurs.
Just want to know: Is this biting point is within the normal range?
Thanks.

All,
Found the answer from posting to www.fordmondeo.org and am entering it here in case it's useful to anyone.
A highish clutch biting point on a mk3 Mondeo is not unusual and is no sign of a problem.
Thanks.
