new scenic v citroen picasso - petesbabes
Im in the mood to buy an mpv due to 2 kids and have narrowed it down to the above and wondered on peoples opinion on which is better as i cant choose. I can get top of the range picasso 1.6hdi exclusive for the same money as a 1.5dci expression scenic so which one is the best?

As you say, it the Picasso is a lot cheaper for what you get. I don't know how the Renault engines compare with the Citroen HDIs, which are very good, so I would suggest it is a case of trying out both cars. The Citreon 1.6 does have a bit more power, of course (I am assuming you are going for the 100 bhp version of the Scenic).

I had a look at both of these a short while ago Citoen SX TD against a Scenic against Zafira.
Bought the Zafira in the end as it,s got the extra 2 seats. And although there are ( Historical)reports of 2.0 TD using oil so far appears to be fine. Reasons for not buying the French marques
amonst other possibilities.

1: Citreon and Scenic smaller than the Zafira.Zafira 7 seats if
required
2: Renault to costly and the dealers are C--P just read the
reports of cars sitting at dealers waiting repairs.Dealer
servicing costs less with the Zafira.
3: Special offers available on Zafira,s TD available OTR for
£12495 ( life model cash price)even less if you go for the 1.6( (under powered) or the 1.8
4: Clarkson ( Top Gear) rates the Zafira as a good buy.( if ever
there was a reason to buy!)
5.Focus C Max ( 5 seats) even more expensive.This was the only
other possibility
