Having just purchased a new Citroen C5. Being tight fisted I would not pay for the Citroen stacker unit.I have two brand new 10 cd units a Sony and a Blaupunkt including leads.Does anybody know if it is possible to mate either of these up to the factory fitted radio cd unit.If I am not mistaken the unit is made by clarion but with Cit/Pug connectors.

Firstly, Congratulations on your new purchase. I hope you enjoy yours as much as the other C5 owners here have.
You can get an adapter from www.connects2.com . This is not a recommendation as I have had no personal dealings with them.
I would recommed putting some decent speakers in your car, try some 17cm Sony custom fit speakers. About £40/pair but you will hear the difference.
You might also like to look at autos.groups.yahoo.com/group/c5-l/ where there is a lively C5 discussion.
Have fun. Ben

Thanks for the info .It is my second C5 the first was a saloon 90bhp ,I just love Citroens I also have a xm 2.5 estate and a 2.0 petrol saloon .

Wasn't the 90bhp HDI a bit slow? They don't mention that engine on the website any more.
Which engine do you have now? I've a (slightly) modified HDI 110 (now more like 130). Thats nice to drive.

My C5 has the factory fitted stacker under the driver's seat. It's certainly a Clarion - works well!

Seefive, if I can hijack this, who chipped your car?

Its a plug in box from www.dieselchiptuning.com . The HJ site moderator has a similar one for his Alfa.
The box takes 10 minutes to fit or remove, for me has slightly improved economy especially on the motorway. I wouldn't switch back even though my insurance costs are higher (24 years old as well).
I haven't performed any accelration tests etc, I just know it is fast!
