98 mondeo V6 platinum plugs

98 mondeo V6 platinum plugs - Imagos
Anyone know how often the platinum spark plugs need to be changed on a V6 Mondeo?

My 1998 V6 is coming up for 62000 can't find any record of the plugs being changed. I'm sure they are platinum as that's what they fitted when the car was new. I heard somewhere once that they should last 100000? not sure, car runs ok with reasonable fuel economy for size of engine.

I could be wrong.but as far as I`m aware they should last lifetime of car except any possible damage/wear to main plug.bear in mind for some lifetime of car is well within 100K.

From experience 20k-30k seems to be the life. Certainly those that I have pulled are showing their age if not on the tips then around the base of the insulator have corona staining. In this instance replace the leads as well.
