Honda CR-V brakes and gearbox - HectorG
I have a 2003 model CR-V with 14k. From time to tme there is a clicking sound which seems to come from the rear brakes. i have read somewhere that there is a 'fix' for this quirk. Needless to say my local main dealer knows nothing about this.

Also, I seem to be able to 'beat' the synchro when changing from 1st to 2nd. At first i thought this may have been due to not depressing the clutch pedal enough. However, subsequent careful gear-changes still occasionally resulted in some gear 'crunching ' on this change. Whilst I appreciate Honda's enviable reputation for mechanical reliability, I wondered if this was possibly a feature of some Honda 'boxes. Or alternatively, is there any adjustment that could be made or should I be worried about the possibilty of premature gearbox failure.

Backroomer's thoughts and suggestions on the above would be much appreciated.

HectorG,
I have a 2003 Honda CRV, I\'ve found a useful website at www.hondasuv.com quite a few interesting articles on it, I can remember seeing a few comments about the brake \"clicking\" problems.
