Anybody know of an insurance company that does not require a credit card for the deposit? I'm tearing my hair out trying to get insurance for our latest banger. We have never run into this problem before and had insurance for years. This is now cancelled as it was for my husband's van business that recently folded. We want to pay by direct debit only. Is this so odd? There must be many people out there without a credit card surely. Is this why so many people drive without insurance? It seems that the big corporations want to make criminals out of us if we don't conform to their idea of 'normal'

Guess you're relying on, on-line/telephone insurers?
Try the ones in the high street, can't imagine a problem there.
Or the broker we've been with for 30 years, A - Plan, may have a branch nearby.Check out yellow pages, for a number local to you.

Have you got a debit card (Switch or Visa Delta)?
Nearly all internet retailers accept debit cards as an alternative to a credit card.
If you really need Direct Debit, www.tescofinance.com will suit you. And they are cheap as well!
