Evenin' all.
My car's rear window has tinting film applied to it (sad I know, but the car was like that when I bought it). Recently however, the film seems to be coming unstuck, leaving lots of little air bubbles which are now severely hampering rear visibility. I've tried rubbing the affected areas with a duster to try and get it to re-attach, but to no avail. My question is, can I peel off the film and try re-applying it, or will I have to renew the whole lot (or just do away with it altogether..)
Thanks in advance for any advice.

Try pricking the air bubbles with a sharp pin. This will let the air escape from the bubble as you flatten it back down onto the screen.

It wasn't done properly in the first place otherwise this would never have happened. It will look horrible whatever you do so pull it off. Once that's done you won't be able to reapply it successfully and it sounds like you don't like it anyway.
Just be careful with the rear heating element (whoops, just remembered that....don't need 'em where I live, thankfully).

Don't peel it off "dry", get a spray bottle with a weak solution of washing up liquid and give the tint a good soaking. Lift the edge and peel slowly while spraying the back of the tint to further soften the adhesive.

If you find that some of the adhesive stays on the screen and is hard to shift then a little white spirit should do the trick.

Most types become very easy to peel off after heating with a hair dryer or hot air gun on LOW. I did my house door's and found that when peeled off, a lot of adhesive is left behind, (this was without using a hot air gun as I have no heating elements to worry about on my house!)

Or some of that lovely orange-zest smelling sticky stuff remover you can get these days.
