2003 Ford Focus1.6 auto - Jump starter/battery charger - bluenun

Yesterday I had started and stopped my car a couple of times and then the engine would not turn over, a garage towed me and fitted a new starter motor. All is working fine now.

Although this would not have helped me yesterday I am looking to buy a jump starter and battery charger in case I am away from home and need one.

I found a good review site on Youtube the Gooloo GP 2000 and the Imazing came out well on tests but these only available in the USA and would rather order from the UK.

Is there any particular brand or specifications I should look for?

Jump start packs and battery chargers are 2 separate products . If you looking at a quality jump pack I would go for a Noco make. Chargers are plentiful . Ring make reasonable quality battery charging equipment.

Thank-you for the reply. It is the jump starter I am more interested in

Yes I went to Halfords today and they stock the whole range of Noco jump starters.

I watched a few videos and they look good.

I assume for my 1.6 that the Noco40 1000A would be sufficient? It says up to 6L on the box.

That’s fine for your car . Not too sure I would chance this on a 6 litre engine .
