Citroen DS3 - Temp engine fault - Hannah Clark
Just wondering if anyone can help or has any ideas, I’ve already spend £400 and am reluctant to just keep chucking money at it!
My 2012 Ds3 suddenly flashed up temp engine fault and the fan came on constantly while driving but coolant was fine and the engine wasn’t actually over heating.
As these cars have form, the temperature sensor has been changed including the casing, the water pump is ok, the resistor on the fan has been changed and still it has the fault.
The car isn’t overheating and it drives fine it’s just the fault light is still there and the fan runs constantly. anyone have any experience with this???

Firstly , on this car , if a fault in the engine control system is detected, it will bring on the cooling fan , even if the fault has no relation to the cooling system. I would check to make sure the oil filler cap is fitted correctly . Also , check there is no water ingress into the engine Ecu multi pin connectors.
