Nissan Qashqai 1.5 Diesel. 2010. - Tail lights - sparky100

HI, my daughter came home last night and parked her car as normal. In the morning she noticed the rear lights were on but not full brightness. she checked the switches and all were off. The number plate light was off and no sidelights at the front. Not sure if it is the brake lights but the rear lights are led's and is hard to see what one is what. When the brake is pushed the lights are on full as are the tail lights when switched on. What could be causing a half light even when the ignition is switched off. Any info would be a great help. That's an interesting fault. The lighting system is electronically controlled on these. may be an idea to disconnect the battery for 5 mins to re-boot the system.

Thank's elekie, I will give it a go. Doesn't seem to run the battery down thanked goodness.
