55 plate ford ranger diesel - 55 plate ford ranger starts missing at 65 mph and - Dennis Bray
Just bought a 55 plate ford ranger from a dodgy dealer, sold as a runner, but no warranty due to price.
Problem drives fine up to 60 mph, when accelerating past this speed, engine starts to miss, vehicle has no more power, and, glow plug light comes on.
Vehicle starts ok from cold, glow light goes out, vehicle drives fine up to 60.
Local garage struggling with diagnosis. Any responses appreciated. Vehicle only done 31k, seems correct, from service history, vehicle is in immaculate condition.

PS forgot to say glowplug light continually flashes, even tho vehicle drives ok up to 60 mph

Flashing glow plug light indicates a fault with the engine control ssytem.
