Renault Megane - Changing cars - Stevienix

I forgot to get the green slip off my V5C when I part-exchanged my car at a dealer's. When I texted him, he said, I didn't need to and he had already sent it off. My tax would be refunded. However, 12 days later the car is still showing as taxed on the DVLA. Can this be right and what can I do about it? (I know I've been an idiot but I was in a bit of a muddle the day I did the deal.)

My last 2 cars took between 6 and 8 weeks to show on their web site as not taxed, you can do it through their site but still takes ages to see, which I did to make it faster but it doesnt

You could always try through the web site if your worried about it, I know people that have without a problem, you will get a letter through from them as a receipt.
