Road Fund Licence - GBP1705

Does the DVLA still send out reminders ?. My Tax is due to start on 1st February and to date had no reminder so went on DVLA website today to Tax me vehicle.

When I entered the required details it said my car was taxed until January 31st and if I taxed my car today it would start from January the 1st.

I was under the impression that you could tax your vehicle up to 14 days in advance. Will I have to wait until the 1st of February to tax my car unless I receive a reminder ? .

I had a reminder letter last November. No idea if they've changed things since then though !

All three of ours run out the end of this month, the reminders arrived same day around a week ago, so about three weeks before due.

So that'll be 2 x £230 and 1 x £290, plus 2 insurances just renewed @ £460odd, oof.

I suspect your reminder has gone astray or is the ownership or address ot up to date?

I have owned the car from new 3 years ago, Best I e-mail DVLA about the reminder, don't want to end up with a fine for not renewing

I got an e-mail to say that they world be taking the money at the end of the month. Much easier when it'son a Direct Debit as you can't forget about it.

If you logon to the DVLA using the BIG number on the Renewal Notice (which you do not have) it will default to the start of February for the new RFL.

If you logon with the Reg No + V5C number it renews at the beginning of the current month.

No Renewal Form - hold off, get up early on the 1st Feb & enter the details - job done.
