Anyone any experience of this company/product? They apparently have a facility whereby 4 tyres are injected for around £35 preventing any punctures of around 9mm becoming a problem. This would be a major advantage for my `98 Volvo V70 XC to have. Punctures are a BIG isssue for this particular vehicle and £35 is a very small price to pay.

It seems they are for the trade. I do hope not.

This is a quote from the above web site about PunctureGuard sealant:
"All of the leading tyre manufacturers consulted about PunctureGuard have also confirmed that the product does not void the manufacturer warranties on their tyres."
Note that it does not say which leading tyre manufacturers have been consulted, nor how many.)
And this is a quote from Dunlop's official site:
"Any modifications to tyres marketed by Dunlop Tyres Ltd., including the use of sealants injected through the valve, will render any warranty invalid."
My local tyre dealer whom I respect will not repair tyres which contain sealant, and Dunlop doesn't approve. Enough said?

The 4x4 boys swear by it so does the local LPG fitting station....

Tyre fitters don't like it because it's very messy. Works a treat on bicycles.

Buy it at Halfords. "SLIME" is the name.

No it's not! SLIME is/was a very different solution indeed, which dries out in time.>> Buy it at Halfords. "SLIME" is the name.

If you do use it remember to check the tyres regularly for things sticking in them.
You don't get the slow leak which normally warns you and the item in the tyre can get pounded around for quite a few miles and land up doing structural damage to the tyre, requiring replacement when you would otherwise have got away with a simple repair.

I worked for Punctureguard as a sales manager. It used to be a pink with black rubber bits solution. I had my elderly Volvo 740 turbo "fitted" with the stuff, and whilst I never experienced a puncture (as it does work!) due to minor general wear in the wheel bearings and steering mechanisms, I suffered terminal wheel imbalance, and had to resort to taking the tyres of their rims, and washing out every last trace of product.
Had the car been less elderly, I am sure that this would not have been an issue.
Don't ever confuse this product with the flourescent green stuff called Slime. That is a very different beast.

I used a product like this a while ago on my Saab. Whislt it is a fairly harmless goo, it does screw up your wheel balance, and in the end I got rid of it after having my front wheels balanced 3 times...
