Ford Focus 2001 - Starter problem - BplBabe

Can someone please help me?

My Ford Focus won't start at all. It's just making a clicking sound which seems to be coming from the left of the engine (as I'm sitting in the car). It's been doing the clicking noise intermittently for a few weeks but has always started. Today it's a no go :-( All the engine lights, radio etc work, but it's just not starting.

I thought it was the starter motor, but iI've been googling and believe it could slso be the battery so now I'm all confused :-(

Sounds like a dud battery to me.Get it checked before throwing money at a starter motor.

Try jumping it from another car or make sure your battery is load tested, they will still read 12v when flat.
