Peugeot Partner Combi - Peugeot partner 2.0 hdi warining light - Chardy

Hi last week my starter motor started playing up so after a week of struggling I finally bought a new starter motor I took it to a local garage for them to fit when I picked it up the engine diagnostic light has come on. So I took it for a blast but it didn't sort it then it went into limp mode. I got the aa out and they reset the codes and all was well for a few hours and then it came back on!
Any ideas

I guess it is possible that something has been dislodged when the starter was fitted.Could be a pipe or an electrical connector.Could be nothing at all related to the starter fault.What fault codes were logged when the engine light came on?That may give us a clue.

What were the codes before they were reset? They were most probably the car telling you what the problem was.

Clearing fault codes does not fix a problem.

It would be like going to the doctor, you telling them your problem, and then sending you on your way without a prescription.
