peugeot 307 1.4 - evaporation control valve - gvmllr001

hi all can someone tell me were is the evaporation control valve on a peugeot 307 1.4s just that im getting some ticking on my car,ive seen a vid of a pug 406 with the same problem as mine and their fault was the evaporation control valve..does my 307 1.4s have one,ifso were abouts is it..many thanks.

Also known as the carbon canister purge valve. They're usually located under the bonnet. They can become stuck, and if so often a very light tap with a hammer can free them. Otherwise there isn't really anything to go wrong with them.

This valve is designed to tick.I would be worried if it didn't.Best put your hammer back in its box for the moment.

They are designed to tick because the valve opens and closes. My suggestion to give it a light tap with a hammer was if it had become stuck and was no longer ticking. This often gets them ticking again.
