Had an almost flat tyre on the baby Merc yesterday. Pumped it up with my little compressor but diagnosed a leaking valve. Took it to ATS Bury St Edmunds this morning at 8:30. The guy had a quick look, inserted a special tool into the valve and took out the offending part, replacing it with a new one. Inflated tyre to correct pressure. No charge! Gave the guy the price of a pint for his help.

The thing is, last time this happened, I had to have a "tyre health check", the wheel and tyre removed from the car and a new valve and re-balance. Still only £10 ish, but probably unnecessary after this morning's events.

Good service.

Good to hear. The more good garages receive praise and publicity the better. They get more business, people have more information for deciding where to take their car and hopefully cowboys put out of business.

a kind gesture like the price of a pint, bottle of wine or 4 pack of beer counts for a lot in my opinion.

So many greedy, needy people these days don't even us the words thank you.
