Peugeot 306 1.4 2001 - Suspension Spare parts HEEELP!!

Peugeot 306 1.4 2001 - Suspension Spare parts HEEELP!! - rikylemus

I own a Peugeot 306 , year 2001, 1.4 engine (petrol/gas). It was bought in El Salvador, Central America so the driver seat is on the left side. I want to replace the whole suspension and also the tie road assembly(both sides).

Some guy from a USA dealer has told me that the spare parts they offer were made for Euro market cars and wont fit on my 306 because of that. I don't believe this because it doesn't make sense that triangles and ball joints are different because of the driver location.

would you please help to to clarify this so I can procced and bouth my spare parts. I believe these parts(on the list) should be the same for both right/letf side driver.

I'll appreciate your help.

Not sure I understand issue. Your car is left hand drive but so is most of Europe, only major exception is UK.

I'm no expert but having driven French cars in UK for many years it's surprising what is different.

Well, Yes .. the driver seat is on the left side.. This guy from a USA dealer make me doubt.

I certainly believe that where the driver seat is located(left or right) migth not make difference for the following parts:

- tie road assembly (inner/outer)

- ball joints

- tiangles

- stabilizer bars

Am I correct?

As someone who has worked in Europe in spare parts sales...

I fyour car is left hand drive, (drivers seat on left when facing forward) the order parts for a left hand drive car, YES some of them WILL be different as the steering rack is reversed.

Not all the parts are tthe same.
