Peugeot 207 CC - Multifunction Display failed - Dave Robinson

My wife's 207 CC (2008, 1.6 VTi) has developed a fault with the MFD. Basically, it is now a "Singlefunction Display". It can either glow a dull orange, or not. It doesn't display anything. It's clearly getting power, and the radio still works (and you can turn the display on/off using the "Dark" button on the radio).

I have tried disconnecting the radio, and also removing the fuse for the MFD/Trip Computer/Steering Wheel controls, to no avail.

Any suggestions, other than take it to a garage? Is it easy (for a garage to replace the MFD, and is that likely to be the problem? The displays themselves are about £30 on eBay.

Try disconnecting the battery for 10 mins.I have fixed a few of these using this method.
