Hello, we decided to do a DIY job on the alloys , etch primer, primer, siver alloy and lacquer, all went well but the car having disc brakes at the front picks up a hell of a lot of muck and has been nigh impossible to remove. Does anyone have any ideas as to how this may have happened on the freshly sprayed/lacqured alloys as we have had to virtually clean a lot of the paint off to clean them , regards, Brian

How long was it left to dry for before being put back on the car? The lacquer can be touch dry relatively quickly but can take a week or so to be properly dry.

I refurbed ny Yaris alloys in winter using spray cans, fitted next day.. no problems.

Was the lacquer applied before the silver alloy paint had fully cured?
