No experience with this particular seller, but a few years ago i bought a top end BMW from a garage in Southall, which looked from google "streetview" like a back street "del boy" establishment, I was fortunate to know a very highly qualified BMW mechanic, who came along as back-up, we looked at the car, he noted the reg no. and disappeared outside with his mobile phone. On returning he gave me an "auctioneer's wink" so i plunged in and bought. Later, diving through all the nooks and crannies i discovered that every component was stamped "BMW" , and even the half used bottle of windscreen wash was BMW supplied, and as discovered by the mech. every recall had been carried out, and the service history was all BMW works.
Moral - you can buy a dog from a main dealer, but you can also find a gem in a back street !
A.S. has beaten my comment on the word "trade" prob because i was looking for the car on Autotrader !, but he's right. Whatever the company name is, you, as a private buyer are covered by the trades description act. Only if you are a "Trader" yourself, are you deemed to have the knowledge to buy without any guarantee.
If i actually have found the car you are looking at, i would be waiting on the doorstep in the morning ( don't worry, I won't be , it's a bit small for me ! ) worst outcome a wasted journey, best one, a gem, and unless a close physical inspection throws up a nasty, i will be surprised if they have it long.
(AND ... don't forget your HPI checks) !
Good luck, nice car
