ford mondeo estate - difference in 2.0 tdci(115) zetec and duratorq - 55mondeo

hi all i bought a 55 plate mondeo estate of a trader 4 months ago and in that time had nothing but problems fuel return rod broke so kept cutting out,,,,injectors packed up so they got replaced then went like a rocket for a day then the engine starting playing up again turns out a cracked head...glad i not paying for all this work....now the trader has been great we have now had a new well second hand engine put in runs and drives nice now.....Now my problem is this 2.0 tdci duratorq engine that has been put in just dont have that quick pull away like the original 2.0 tdci zetec ....compared to the zetec the car needs a kick up the backside to get moving.....i can say its not sluggish it not trying to cut out just dont have that pulling power bottom end.....is this natuaral for a duratorq...

thank you

There is a simple difference between the "Duratorq" engine and the "Zetec" engine.

The Duratorq is diesel and the Zetec was a petrol used between 1991 and 2004 in some Escort's, Fiesta's, Mondeo's and Focus models.

Ford cloudied the whole matter by using the "Zetec" name as a trim spec as well.

There was never a Zetec TDCi engine but Ford made loads of Mondeo TDCi's (and focus TDCI's) with Zetec trim.
