Volkswagen Golf V - VAG 2.0 SDi engine - 5cylinderdiesel

Hi

Does anybody have any knowledge of the 2.0 SDi (suction diesel injection) engine that was used in the Golf V up to around 2008? My question is - does this engine suffer from the same oil pump balancer shaft problem that some of the 2 TDi PD engines suffered? I believe the engine code for the 2.0 SDi was (BDK). Or was this engine just as bullet proof as the 1.9 SDi that went before it?

As far as I am aware the balance "module" was never fitted to the Golf 2.0 TDI PD or SD.

It was fitted to VAG cars where the engine (2.0 PD) was fitted north south (not transverse) such as Audi A4, A6, older VW Passat, Skoda Superb mk1.
