A new windscreen fitted to day and as far as I can recall to switch on the anti dazzle you press a switch on the underneath of the mirror and the light turns to green. In the off position before the mirror was in use the light was on red.The mirror was functioning correctly before the screen was changed.

Now the only light that comes on is the green light and at this time I do not know if the mirror is functioning correctly or not as i have not had to drive in the dark.

Before I approach the company who changed the screen and also VW for advice can anyone advise if I am correct in assuming that a red light does come on when not in use? My thinking is that the switch or other connection has not been correctly fitted as It would appear that there is only one light albeit that it is green.

I have looked at the handbook and it does not illustrate two lights and is not very clear.
