Honda FR-V - Honda FR-V poor acceleration - rich the grouch
Hi everyone,

I recently bought a 2006 Honda F-RV, petrol 2.0 ivtec sport. Although it has 150bhp it really struggles to accelerate with any real power.

Had it to a local garage and they've put the code reader on it and all the sensors are fine. The ECU light is not on. My father in law serviced it at the weekend so we are really stumped.

The guy at the garage is really baffled by it so any thoughts would be really appreciated.

Dirty MAF sensor...?

Blocked air filter

Blocked petrol filter.

Worn out plugs

Blocked exhaust

Failed catalyst.

Binding brakes.

Thanks for your reply.

Changed air filter & plugs.

Have a petrol filter to change but someone told me that if it was the fuel filter it would struggle more at high speeds.

Any thoughts how to check failed catalyst?
