Honda Insight - Honda Insight 2010, good buy ? - kaps59

Hi John, I am a bit confused on if I should be buying Hybrid or not.

I am getting Honda Insight 2010 10k driven for £7500, dont know if this is the right value. There are couple of concerns that I have for hybrid is

1) The maintenance during the life of the car.

2) The resale value.

I can get Honda Civic Petrol 1.4 for slightly higher and around 25k driven, what in your opinion will be the wise decision ? Hoda Civic Petrol or Hybrid Insight. I normally run 100mile in 10 days and currently p***ed off with my honda accord 2.0 which gives only 4/ltr

Also it is with private seller, any advises what I can check before buying

I looked at buying a Insight I took one for a long test drive it was worse than a Prius utterly underpowered not very economical very poorly made with lots of poor plastics and very expensive if its out of warranty.Everybody to their own but I have to agree with most reports on this vehicle I have now bought a VAG produced car no VED (if bought in the UK)very cheap insurance and very economical in my opinion a much better vehicle..
