Are there any banks who treat their customers like adults responsible for their own decisions?
I ask after an extremely stressful and annoying time trying to pay a deposit for a car online through Bank of Scotland. At this point, not only have I not been able to pay the deposit (BOS decided it was too risky), but I've also been locked out of the App after getting alternative bank details from seller and trying to pay the deposit bit by bit.
This is actually the second time I've been thwarted by BOS, though in fairness the last time was £7.5k for a bathroom renovation, so a much bigger sum of money.
But £500, really?, i'm absolutely fuming about it!. I'm away down to the local branch (ironically, BOS is one of the only banks with an actual branch left in town) to both express my feelings and see if they can help.
