Peugeot 308 2015 2.0 HDI - Adblue / FAP issues - P2O8E - Aaronh

Hey guys - we have recently had a Emissions Fault come up - P2O8E reductant pressure low.

I started by topping up the car with 7 litres of AdBlue, until almost full, however this has done nothing.

I then realised that this had happened to us before when the car was under warranty, so borrowed a better code reader and looked at the data today compared to last time.

The following lines stood out as they matched what we had last time.

Pressure of urea9.92Estimate age of thermal catalytic convertor62Volume of urea0Volume of urea fluid0.095Content of NOX upstream-32768Pressure of ehxaust gas855?

Not all the figures are exact as the photo I took was blurry, but all these figures are exactly the same as last time.

Last time the car went in for warranty and they reset the adblue sensors and replaced the FAP fluid to fix the issue.

Can someone explain these numbers and then say whether this will fix it again, and why its happening in this way without a countdown.

Much appreciated,

Those figures are not very meaningful, however a low pressure adblue could mean the pump is in trouble. It’s part of the tank and costs around £1k . Not exactly a cheap solution.

Hi, there is a fault with the urea system (Adblue) . Reductant refers to the urea in the Adblue mix used to reduce NOx gases in the exhaust, to harmless nitrogen. The a tual fault could be anything, so not worth guessing. Note this is separate from the FAP system which uses Eolys liquid to allow burning off of soot (carbon) captured in the dpf filter at a lower temperature in eg town driving. You'll need somebody experienced in these french PSA / ford diesel systems, a good specialist. Cheers.

Adblue tank pump problems are notorious on Peugeots and well documented on the forums.

Many people get them mapped out if not under any warranty.
