The Mrs has been having problems with her Astra losing power. It was diagnosed as exhaust gas recirculation sensor p0409, she took it to the garage and they cleaned the EGR. It worked ok for a few weeks but then happened again.

This time they blanked the EGR and remapped the engine management system.

Again, it worked for a couple if weeks and has gone again.

Both the AA and the garage diagnosed the same problem and there were no other errors. This time there are no errors at all because of the remapping.

Does anyone know what the problem might be?
