Toyota Verso 2015 - metal jacket cord end stuck in seat belt buckle - Khurram Hassan

Hi,

As per the subject heading:

the metal cord end of a jacket is stuck om the front right seat belt buckle.

Th tongue of the seat bet doesn't engage and stay in the buckle.

Have prodded inside the buckle but can't find the end and worried that have pushed in further.

Any advice?

What is the part that I need to buy- is it a buckle or stalk?

Any advice for UK puchase?

I believe that you cannot buy individual parts of a seat-belt new, only the complete belt kit.

A breakers yard may possibly be able to help you with the part or parts that you need.

I'd suggest you have another attempt to remove the stuck item, possibly with the buckle actually removed from the car if you haven't done that already. You probably stand more chance of getting the offending item out this way.

I’ve recently replaced a seat belt stalk on a friend’s Yaris because the plastic casing had broken . The part was surprisingly cheap from Toyota , about £20 . You may be lucky .

FYI, seat-belt stalks are available as a separate item on all Toyota models. They're usually cheap as chips too
