2003 VAUXHALL CORSA 1.2 DESIGN (1199cc) - Engine oil for vauxhall corsa 1.2 - Brian Richings

I have recently bought a corsa and I've been looking into which engine oil I should use. Everywhere I checked has given me different advice and I am still not sure. Some have suggested 5w/30 and others suggested 10w/40, whilst one said to use 15w/40. This is my first car and I'm concerned about damaging the engine. Thanks

I would use 10/40.Perfectly adequate for this engine.Buy it from a Vauxhall dealer.They usually have deals on service items.

Sticking in my two cents worth.

And just beause I've seen so many of these dead from lack of oil/changes/spec.

Take the Doc's advice,

Good oil is still way cheaper than a new engine.
