Been looking on the web as they seem to offer good deals but its a bit of a mine field , some want a small deposit ,some want none but my biggest bug bare is after looking @ reviews are the ones who dont give you the v5 when you get your new car seems its to do with fleet sales .Tried carwow but they overinflate the prices in the first place and that big company who advertise vans on the telly ! well there prices are to good to be true and when you look @ the reviews on the web its a wonder they sell any cars .

I wonder if i should just wait until december to buy a new car as the dealers might be very be keen on a good deal just prior to xmas . ?.

Carwow just act as an introduction agency - you choose which dealer and which price to accept - Carwow get their commission from the dealer.

I wouldn't touch any broker/dealer where you didn't get the V5C straight away or paying money up front to the broker,

I am sure carwow select the dealers who send you offers .After many builds it was a different selection of dealers who were pricing the cars .

I can see why a small deposit might be required just to make sure that you will go ahead with the deal as brokers wont want to order a car then you just turn round and say no i have changed my mind .

If the broker is only putting buyer in touch with dealer - the order is placed with the dealer with a deposit paid to the dealer - no different to any other way of buying

Carwow, Coast2coast, drivethedeal. All of those put you in touch with the dealer, and you buy from the dealer.

If you want lease / PCP / PCH, then there are plenty of companies out there for that. Central vehicle leasing is one I see mentioned quite often.

Whilst a lot of the time leasing can seem expensive, with the discounts they get it can make running a nice new car quite cheap. A friend of mine was looking at one the other week for a Golf (1.4 petrol), which was pretty cheap - something like £500 down, and then £120 per month for 2 years as a lease - 12k miles per annum. That works out at £3400 for 2 years, if he bought a new one then it'd probably depreciate by double that amount.

Have noticed that one of the main advertisers on here are one of the company's i did condider using but they like a few others they dont give you the V5 when you get your new car and as has been pointed out this could lead to a load of issues .

What's the problem, just wait a week after purchasing car then use Gov website to apply for a V5 in your name with copy of sales invoice and declare you are the registered keeper of said vehicle.

Which company?

The Court has ruled this is unlawful.

Uk car discount dont give the V5 and in reply to the other poster why should someone who buy's a new car have to apply for the v5 the V5 should be given to the new first owner the day they collect the car .
