Citroen C4 Picasso - Remote Key - John H H

I thought I had lost the spare key to my (2013) Citroen C4 Picasso and, at some cost, bought a new remote key which Citroen programmed. Of course, a few months later I found the original key! I no longer have the car and wondered if the key can be reprogrammed for another C4 Picasso? I obviously wouldn't want to sell it on if it can't. Help/advice would be much appreciated.

No, it can't (well, not easily). When coding the key, the car writes the code to the chip in the key - and this is a one shot operation. So you can't recode the key to another car - unless you replace the chip, but not sure how easy this is on a C4 Picasso key.
